Seven Weeks Old

This is a big leap in the development of kittens. Their eyes are beginning to fade from the kitten blue to their more mature amber. This eye color development will continue into maturity. Will they have green eyes like their parents? They also can see better. But the obvious change from last week is their enthusiasm in playing, pouncing, climbing, and exploring. They now have climbing toys, ropes, and hammocks, with multi-levels to climb and explore, and yes, pounce on one another. Violet still visits. They are also exposed to our other cats. We have moved them from the bedroom to the living room where they are exposed to all the household activity and noises, plus lots of handling–after all, who can walk by without picking one up?
